Murray and Casey step away as Dublin joint managers

Dublin women's footballers are on the hunt for a new management team after Derek Murray and Paul Casey confirmed they will not be seeking a third term at the helm.

The pair were ratified as joint managers in December 2024.

Casey - an All-Ireland winner and eight-time Leinster SFC champions with the men - had previously served as a selector and defensive coach with the squad. Murray has been part of the management team since 2022.

They guided the Dubs to All-Ireland glory in 2025, beating Meath the decider, and won two Leinster titles.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Dublin LGFA said: "Derek Murray and Paul Casey have informed the executive committee of Dublin LGFA that they will not seek a third term as managers of the Dublin Ladies senior football team.

"The executive committee would like to thank Derek and Paul most sincerely for their professionalism, dedication and enthusiasm during their term not only as senior managers but previously as key members of the Dublin senior management team.

"Their service to Dublin has been incredible and we as a committee have been most fortunate to have had the privilege to work closely alongside both men. Derek and Paul are a credit to their clubs, Round Tower Clondalkin and Lucan Sarsfields.

"Everyone involved in Dublin LGFA would like to wish Derek and Paul all the very best with their future endeavours.

"The Dublin Executive Committee will now begin the process of selecting and appointing a new Dublin senior management team."
