Liverpool put on a show in 8/1 Bet Builder

Liverpool‘s procession towords the Premier League title hit a bump last weekend with a 3-2 defeat away at Fulham, but they still remain 11 points clear of nearest challengers, Arsenal.

This weekend they take on West Ham at Anfield and should get back to winning ways in style following the news of Mo Salah’s contract extension, says Peter Crouch – and remember, Paddy’s Super Sub offer means your bet rolls on even if your player selection gets taken off early…

What a lift for Liverpool going into the final run-in – Mo Salah’s signed his new contract and the cloud that’s been hanging over the club all season starts to lift a little.

The fact Mo’s committed to Liverpool is a massive boost and it’s great to get the announcement out there and get on with the remaining games.

What a legend of the club he’s been and now he’s extending his stay to ten years at Anfield, which just further cements his place as one of the all-time greats.

And it makes sense to me. Liverpool would’ve had to go and spend how much? £100m or more probably on someone like Alexander Isak to try to replace him this summer.

Why not hang on to someone of Salah’s calibre instead? You know he can win you trophies.

And I have no reservations around his age either, to be honest. When he takes his shirt off he doesn’t look like he’s out of shape to me!

Some 19-year-olds would be jealous of the shape he’s in – I know I am.

He’s an excellent professional and has always looked after himself, fitness is not an issue. The only thing you wonder about is fatigue, as he plays so many games and rarely misses a match.

Recently he hasn’t been like he was earlier in the season, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets back to his best in the final few games now.

Mo Salah to score

And I think that can start on Sunday with at least one goal for him. It’s a huge boost to have this question out of the way and Mo Salah to score makes all the sense in the world for a Bet Builder this weekend.

It should help Liverpool get back on track after the loss to Fulham last week. They don’t want any complacency to drift in to their performances as they still have an 11 point lead in the league, and have obviously gone out of Europe and lost the Carabao Cup final in recent weeks.

Even though they had the Merseyside derby win in there too, they’ll want to bounce-back quickly after the Fulham game. And I’d side with Arne Slot on how that game went – they really just had some really bad errors. Individuals making mistakes they usually wouldn’t and that you wouldn’t expect to happen again.

And Liverpool want to win the league in style too – you don’t want to just creep over the line, do you? Everyone believes they will win it, but you want to get that done as soon as possible and have a big send off at Anfield because they deserve one this year for the way they’ve performed.

Alternative Handicap: Liverpool -1

And I fancy Liverpool to get three points on Sunday and do it like champions.

I like Graham Potter and think he’s doing a good job going into West Ham, they’re playing better and more enjoyable to watch than they were earlier in the season and they aren’t in any danger now.

They’ve got some good players – Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen stand out to me – and some more coming back from injury, like Niclas Fullkrug who scored last week, and they’re building towards next season.

But I think Liverpool will put on a bit of a show on Sunday after the big news this week. I really fancy them to go and score a few, so Liverpool -1 makes a lot of sense to me.

Luis Diaz to score

And that means there should be a few goals to share around.

I’ve already gone for Mo Salah – and you couldn’t rule him out getting a couple – but Luis Diaz scored last week so I’ll go for him to get another one in what should be a comfortable win.

Jarrod Bowen to be fouled 2+ times

He’s West Ham main attacking threat and can cause teams a lot of problems on the break with his pace. That means he’s often tripped and fouled and I would expect that to be the case on Sunday.
