Jai Arrow set for 100th South Sydney Rabbitohs match

Jai Arrow is set to take the field in his 100th match for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in an NRL game against their fierce rivals, the Sydney Roosters. The match will be held at a sold-out Sydney Football Stadium in the Moore Park district.

Special NRL permission

As reported by ABC News Australia, the NRL granted Arrow special permission for his final two appearances so that he could reach the mark of 100 matches for the Rabbitohs. This appearance is set to be his second since Arrow learned earlier this year of his diagnosis with motor neurone disease.

Starting at fly-half

Arrow is set to start the game at fly-half, which, as ABC notes, will likely happen for the first time in his career. Cody Walker is expected to replace him immediately after the opening whistle.

Last week, before the game in Robina, Arrow told Walker that he was nervous, although he had never felt that way before matches previously. Walker told Nine that he supported his teammate with jokes and their usual conversations. According to him, this helped Arrow laugh and regain a sense of normality.
