According to Football Insider, Rodrygo’s agents have arrived in the UK to hold talks with representatives from Manchester City and Liverpool over a potential transfer.

Manchester City are prepared to move for Rodrygo if Savinho departs amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have added the Brazilian to their list in what some see as a potential response to Madrid’s signing of Trent Alexander Arnold and their pursuit of Ibrahima Konate on a free transfer.

Arsenal were also in the race until recently, but they have now shockingly pulled out.

With only a week left in the summer transfer window, any deal must move quickly. Real Madrid may enjoy smooth relations with Premier League clubs, but negotiations around Rodrygo’s price will not be simple.

The club has set a starting tag of 100 million, which could prove difficult even for English sides despite their financial strength.

Rodrygo’s position in Madrid looks increasingly fragile. He is struggling for game time, and Xabi Alonso has not given convincing answers about his role going forward.

At this stage, it may be in his best interest to leave, but if it is to happen, it must happen now.
