Micah Richards claims Tottenham may land a player who ‘has everything’ and radiates confidence

Thomas Frank began his Tottenham Hotspur reign in scintillating fashion after picking up a 3-0 win against Burnley.

Richarlison bagged a brace either side of the half-time interval before Brennan Johnson put the final nail in the coffin of a convincing win for Spurs.

Former Tottenham player and Burnley boss Scott Parker had nothing but praise for Spurs’ display, but Frank is eager to build on their momentum in the final weeks of the summer transfer window.

Eberechi Eze shared a heartfelt moment with the fans as he was substituted during Crystal Palace’s 0-0 draw against Chelsea on Sunday – he has been linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since the end of last season.

And should he find himself making the move to North London in the near future, ex-Manchester City player and pundit Micah Richards believes he would radiate confidence at Tottenham.

Eberechi Eze “has everything” to be a success at Tottenham

When speaking live on Sky Sports prior to the match at Stamford Bridge, Richards offered a glowing commendation of the Spurs-linked midfielder.

“He’s got everything. In terms of what he can do, when he receives the ball, when he wants to make his assist, where he can drive with the ball, and just the confidence he plays with as well.

“I think sometimes the players have got all the attributes, but they don’t have the confidence. And I believe he’s had the time at QPR to work through difficult times.

“It helped him grow that character that you need, but he is a top player.”

The Englishman saw a stunning free-kick disallowed against Chelsea, but gave a true performance testament to his character as he gave his all for Crystal Palace despite ongoing speculation.

TBR Football understands that Tottenham are advancing in talks to sign Eze and are on course to beat North London rivals Arsenal to his signature.

Eze has been the main talisman at Selhurst Park in recent years but as he enters the prime years of his career at 26, and Palace eyeing Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss as a potential replacement, the signs are certainly positive for Spurs to complete the move.

Alongside Eze, Spurs are strongly linked to Manchester City forward Savinho, but TBR Football understands Guardiola is not open to selling the Brazilian as things stand.

Tottenham have already spent £55 million on Mohammed Kudus this summer, and seemingly, Frank is keen to continue bolstering his forward line.

The Lilywhites did record a shocking 17th-place finish in the Premier League last season under Ange Postecoglou, meaning no Spurs supporter will object to the club making wholesale changes to the squad.

Frank’s two main targets appear to be Eze and Savinho, but whether it is a case of one or the other, both, or neither will be revealed as the deadline is just over a fortnight away.
