The Olympic Flame among the UNESCO sites of Piemonte and the mountains of the Valle d'Aosta

The 36th stage of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Torch Relay saw the Olympic flame illuminate spectacular landscapes and locations unique in their history and beauty. ​​After Sunday evening in Torino, the convoy stopped again in the metropolitan city of the capital.

The torchbearers ​​set off in the morning from Rivoli, where they entered the Savoy Royal Residences of the Castle. ​​Pierpaolo Maza, as the Truce Torchbearer, was also a key figure in the relay. ​​The Flame then continued its homage to Italy's history by arriving in Venaria Reale. ​​The relay began inside the Royal Palace: a majestic setting further enhanced by the participation of Andrea Soncin and Cristiana Girelli, respectively coach and captain of the women's national football team.

The journey then reached Settimo Torinese. ​​Here to carry the Torch was also Dario Faini, aka Dardust, pianist and composer of "Fantasia Italiana", the official soundtrack of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. ​​The acclaimed artist will also be a major star at the Opening Ceremony scheduled for 6 February 2026 at the San Siro stadium in Milano.

The City of Chivasso also welcomed the Flame on Monday, together with the Eni Versalis plant in Crescentino: inside the gates of the plant of one of the Tour's Presenting Partners, several groups of torchbearers were honoured to become part of this fantastic adventure.

The Aosta Valley welcomes the Flame on Mont Blanc, in Chatillon and Aosta

The Olympic Flame was then taken up, very high. ​​A small expedition took it to Mont Blanc, climbing to the last terrace of the Skyway cable car. ​​A special moment that is in keeping with the history of the Olympic Flame, which has very often reached the highest peaks in Europe and the world.
