Speaking to ITV, the England Captain said: “Tough game, in hot, hot, really brutal, even more difficult than Mexico to be honest with the heat and the humidity.

“Again we found a way, wasn’t our prettiest performance, we know that. I said yesterday in the press conference that there is another level we can reach. I still feel like we didn’t quite reach that as a team but again we got match-winners in Jude who was a game changer again today.

“Its a good thing, knowing we are in a semi final with more to give.”

Thomas Tuchel, speaking with ITV said: “We made life very, very difficult for ourselves today. The result is fantastic, we’re in the last four. It’s amazing. I’m not happy with the performance.

“In every sense. The commitment is there but we made life very, very difficult for us in the way we played, how we played. Sloppy, tactical mistakes, not fast enough. Not repetitive enough. We were lucky enough.

“Mentality? This [England squad] is pure mentality now. How can you talk about mentality now? This is pure mentality.”

Time and again, he is Mr. Reliable for the Three Lions, and had he not scored on half-time, yesterday could have gone in a different direction.

More impressively, he managed to avoid a yellow card for over 200 minutes, meaning he will NOT be suspended for the semi-final.

If he continues to perform like this over the next two games, is Bellingham a realistic candidate for the Ballon d’Or?

Jude Bellingham looked visibly irked after being told that Thomas Tuchel was unhappy with England’s performance in the win over Norway.

The Three Lions’ match-winning hero, 23, was made aware of his manager’s highly critical comments during his own post-game media duties.

Can you blame him? He has bailed England out of perilous situations several times this tournament.

Today takes the cake as his brace gets England over the line.

Neville: Nobody as special as Bellingham

Speaking on ITV, Gary Neville sung Jude’s praise: “I’ve seen Paul Gascoigne go to a tournament and rip it up, Michael Owen do the same, Wayne Rooney did it in 2004.

“But I’ve never seen a player have an impact on the tournament in the way Jude Bellingham is.

“This is very special, what we’re watching. An absolute superstar. He’s giving everything and more out there for England.”

That is the chorus on repeat from these England fans, who are already planning the most wild of nights out on Miami South Beach tonight.

That final header from Dan Burn at the death bought one of the loudest cheers of the night, perhaps only third to both of Jude Bellingham’s goals.
