Harry Maguire speeding case moved after Man Utd star broke limit in £200k Range Rover
Harry Maguire's hearing after being caught speeding in his £200,000 Range Rover has been adjourned until January 8.The Manchester United defender, 31, who is currently ruled out with injury, was clocked exceeding 50 miles per hour on the A538 Wilmslow Road in March according to court documents.He was expected to attend Bolton Magistrates' Court on Tuesday but the case was moved until the new year.A court sheet at Bolton Magistrates’ Court before the hearing was adjourned read: ''Mr Harry Jacob Maguire. Exceeded 50 mph speed limit in contravention of a Local Traffic Order - manned equipment."On 5.3.2024. at Manchester drove a motor vehicle, namely Land Rover Range Rover SUV D, on a road, namely A538 Wilmslow Road near to Mill Lane, Ringway, subject of a local traffic order, namely Manchester City Council City of Manchester (Speed Limits) (A538 Wilmslow Road) Order 2018 , at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour.''Contrary to the above local traffic order and sections 84 and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.''In September the 31-year-old England international was fined £1,200 for breaking a 60mph limit on the A616 near his home city of Sheffield.Image: Joe Prior/Visionhaus via Getty Images) Joe Prior/Visionhaus via Getty Images)On that occasion Maguire was ordered to pay a fine of £670, plus a £268 victim surcharge and £90 in legal fees, taking the total cost to £1,208.He also had three points added to his licence but pleaded guilty to the charge at the first opportunity and was not required to attend court.Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
