Writing in his exclusive newsletter, Romano has confirmed that Gyokeres is yet to reject a move to Old Trafford, and the race is still open for the towering forward. The respected reporter adds that he's still giving priority to Arsenal, but he's now rejected any move just yet...

United and Arsenal are both likely to bring in a new striker in the summer window, regardless of whether Gyokeres is the man to lead their line. Ruben Amorim's side endured a disastrous season, failing to qualify for Europe while finishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

Arsenal struggled to score regularly and were unable to lift a trophy in the 2024/2025 campaign. Missing out on the Premier League title to Liverpool, Mikel Arteta's side undoubtedly need reinforcements to avoid that happening again.
