KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty blessed with a baby girl

NEW DELHI: India and Delhi Capitals batter KL Rahul and his wife, Athiya Shetty , were blessed with a baby girl on Monday.Athiya shared the joyful news on Instagram, writing, "Blessed with a baby girl," as fans and well-wishers poured in their congratulations.Meanwhile, Rahul’s much-anticipated debut for his new IPL franchise, Delhi Capitals, left fans disappointed as he was absent from the playing XI in their season opener against Lucknow Super Giants at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Monday.Although captain Axar Patel did not mention Rahul’s absence during the toss, it was later confirmed that the cricketer had been granted special permission by the Delhi Capitals' management to skip the match to be with his wife during the special moment. Rahul reportedly rushed back to Mumbai on Sunday night to be by Athiya's side.KL Rahul is expected to rejoin the Delhi Capitals squad ahead of their second game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 30. Fans are eagerly awaiting his debut, as his presence in the lineup is crucial for the team’s campaign this season.
