Virat Kohli meets with Sam Konstas' brothers

Virat Kohli and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah met with Billy and Johnny Konstas, the two brothers of Australian batter Sam Konstas, during a New Year celebration hosted by Australia’s Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese.

The celebrations were part of the Glenn McGrath Foundation ahead of the fifth and final Test between India and Australia at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). The function was attended by cricketers from both countries.

The Konstas brothers posted their pictures with Bumrah and Kohli. Virat had shouldered Sam on Day 1 of the Boxing Day Test, leading to verbal slugfest. The 19-year-old even mocked the Indian players after their dismissals. When Bumrah took his wicket in Australia’s second innings, the speedster urged the crowd to celebrate the moment.

Earlier, the young batter had hit Bumrah for sixes and fours during his team’s first essay.

The SCG Test is India’s last opportunity to level the series as Australia are leading the rivalry 2-1, following their 184-run win over the visitors in Melbourne.
