Premier League live updates: Liverpool take on Brentford

In the Premier League, Liverpool host Brentford hoping to bounce back in the league after a commanding performance in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.

Earlier, Manchester United extended their winning streak to three games by defeating Brighton & Hove Albion 4-2. Chelsea were stunned by a last-gasp winner from Sunderland as they lost 2-1, while the newly promoted side went second. In Europe, Bayern Munich extended their unbeaten run to 13 in all competitions as beat Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-0 in the Bundesliga with a fine second-half display, and in Italy, Napoli defeated Internazionale 3-1 in a massive Serie A showdown with title implications.
