Rashid Khan , Afghanistan's T20I captain got married along with his three brothers in Kabul on Thursday, 3 October. The 26-year-old decided to tie the knot in the Afghanistan capital which was lit up in celebrations as Amir Khalil, Zakiullah, and Raza Khan and Rashid, all got married on the same day.

Pictures of the extravagant wedding celebrations have been going crazy viral on social media as Rashid tied the knot besides his three siblings. The wedding was attended by many bigwigs of the Afghanistan cricket team and other renowned names.

According to reports, Rashid and his brothers got married in traditional Pashtun customs. The wedding festivities took place at the Imperial Continental Hotel in Kabul, as the capital city of Afghanistan came alive to celebrate the union of their T20I captain.

Notable attendees included Afghanistan Cricket Board CEO Naseeb Khan, senior team player Mohammad Nabi, and emerging talents such as Azmatullah Omarzai, Najibullah Zadran, Rahmat Shah, and Mujeeb Ur Rehman among others.

Many fans, and teammates of Rashid Khan wished him well as he began a new chapter in his life.

Under Rashid Khan's captaincy, Afghanistan reached the semifinals of the T20 World Cup 2024, for the very first time in the nation's history. Unfortunately, they were beaten by South Africa as their fairy-tale run ended abruptly in the last four stages, but the Afghan Atlans received plenty of support from fans back home as they celebrated the team's success like a festival.

Afghanistan recently etched their name in the history books when they defeated South Africa 2-1 in the three-match ODI series, registering their first-ever series win over the Proteas. With this, they have managed to beat all the ICC Test playing nations except Team India.

Rashid himself was instrumental in Afghanistan's ODI series victory, picking up seven wickets in two games, including a five-wicket haul in the second ODI of the series, which coincided with his 26th birthday.
