‘This is for those who…’: PCB Chairman’s reply to critics after Stadium renovation for Champions TrophyThe Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made sure the renovation work of Karachi stadium gets complete, and silenced all the critics who were claiming for the work will not be done by the deadline.Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi lashed out at critics who were double-guessing on the ability of the board to complete the renovation work of the stadium before the given time by the International Cricket Council for the Champions Trophy 2025, set to begin February 19.In the recent times, the PCB was facing a lot of heat by the fans related to the stadiums being completely renovated before the Champions Trophy matches begin.The change of venue for the bilateral Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh getting shifted from Karachi to Rawalpindi caused a lot of question to rise related to Pakistan being able to complete toe work on time.“We win, you lose. This is for those who claimed on social media that we could not complete the construction of this stadium. If we failed to complete this, you would have won, and we were unsuccessful. However, by completing this [upgradation] project, we won, and you lose now,” Naqvi said as quoted from Geo News.Pakistan has decided on Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi to host the Champions Trophy matches, and the hosting nation will start their campaign against New Zealand in Karachi.TRENDING NOWThe tournament is going to be held in a hybrid model, where India’s matches along with one of the semifinals will be held in Dubai, and the rest will be in Pakistan itself. The final of the Champions Trophy will be played on March 9, and the venue for the final clash will depend on India’s outcome. If the Men in Blue qualify, then the title-decider will take place in Dubai, otherwise Pakistan will host the finale.
