The T20I bowling rankings have a new leader as Kiwi right-arm pacer Jacob Duffy has now become the number one ranked bowler in the format, overtaking left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein to take the spot in the shorter format of the game. While most of the big stars of the game are playing franchise cricket, there have been some notable international matches to witness in the form of the New Zealand vs Pakistan series. Pakistan's tour started with a five-match T20I series, where it was New Zealand who won the series by a margin of 4-1 in the end. While it was Tim Seifert who was the Player of the Series, scoring the most runs, it was Duffy who was the star with the ball for the Kiwis, with his variations and change of pace.Duffy was the leading wicket-taker in the series with 13 scalps in the five matches he played at an average of 8.38 and an economy rate of 6.16. This was enough to become the top-ranked T20I bowler with 723 points, overtaking Akeal Hosein, who is now trailing behind with 707 points. This is a great achievement for Duffy, who, despite his consistent performances in white-ball cricket, was not picked in the official New Zealand squad for the Champions Trophy. Also Read - Watch: Babar Azam succumbs to Jacob Duffy's fiery delivery for one runDuffy’s T20I career and recent performances in ODI seriesDuffy so far has a solid record in T20Is, where he has played a total of 23 games and has taken 32 wickets at an average of 16.09 and an overall economy of 6.99.
