CDK vs OD Match Prediction & Analysis

Purani Dilli 6 have reached the QF 2 with a convincing victory over ODW. And considering the current form of Central Delhi Kings, Anuj Rawat and co. have a great chance at reaching the Final.

The top-order inconsistencies in the CDK lineup, with Yugal Saini not finding his rhythm at number 3, mean we aren’t as confident in them as before. Moreover, with Anuj Rawat and Dev Lakra finding their form, Purani Dilli’s middle order looks more promising.

It will be a clash of titans between the two powerful batting lineups. And the Kings must find a way to deliver strong partnerships in the top order; otherwise, they will be starting at a wasted opportunity.

PD6 has a great variety in its bowling attack, and their key players like Digvesh Singh Rathi, Rajneesh Dadar, and Udhav Mohan are all in great touch. They will pose a tough challenge to the mighty Kings, who failed to chase down 194 runs in the QF1.

TEAMS PREVIEW

Central Delhi Kings Preview

194 runs isn’t a big total. Certainly not for the Kings. They have chased down 222 runs against SDS in the league stage quite comfortably. The Superstarz must be delighted with this comeback, as they bowled out the Kings for 178 runs this time around.

The inconsistency of Samarth Singh and Siddharth Joon at the top is a huge concern for CDK coming into this match. Skipper Jonty Sidhu is a promising middle-order batter, but without a strong start from the openers, he finds himself biting more than he can chew.

He may have delivered a few impactful knocks here and there, but he isn’t a true match-winner like Yash Dhull or any other top-order batters in this lineup. CDK can’t continue relying on their lower-order players like Money Grewal, Keshav Dabas, and Vansh Bedi to save them from an imminent collapse.

Both Dabas and Bedi delivered a fifty each in the last outing while chasing a 190+ total. The lower order has been quite impressive in recent outings, but they cannot take them to victory if the top order keeps failing.

Gavnish Khurana continues his consistent run with the ball while being supported by Tejas Baroka. Money Grewal also needs to step up and deliver what’s expected of him with the ball.

Interesting Stats

Khurana, Dabas, and Baroka are the key wicket-takers, picking up 15 wickets among themselves in the last 3 outings

Vansh Bedi scored 52 off 24 balls in the last outing at number 7

CDK have lost half of their side for under 100 runs in two of the last 3 matches

Central Delhi Kings Predicted Playing XI:

Siddharth Joon (wk), Yugal Saini, Aditya Bhandari, Jonty Sidhu (c), Vansh Bedi, Keshav Dabas, Money Grewal, Aatrey Tripathi, Tejas Baroka, Gavnish Khurana, Abhishek Kumar Yadav

Purani Delhi 6 Preview

They are a pretty solid team overall, with a great variety in their bowling attack and an in-form top order, with key players delivering consistently. Purani Dilli 6 made light of a 180-run target in the Eliminator against Outer Delhi Warriors.

While it wasn’t an ideal opening partnership between Aryan Gaur and Samarth Seth, the number 3 batter Dev Larka rose to the occasion with an 82-run knock to get PD6 across the line in just the 15th over with 7 wickets in hand. This win will boost their confidence as they take on the league stage's best team in the QF2.

We expect Gaur and Seth to come out all guns blazing at the top. The two have been in good rhythm and will have the license to go for the big shots early in the powerplay. The middle order of skipper Anuj Rawat and Dev Lakra holds the key to a big total.

If these two get going, the Kings’ bowling attack will be at the mercy of them mistiming a shot to get their wicket. The only edge the hosts have over PD6 is the lack of batting depth in Purani Dilli’s batting order. If they lose their top 4 early in the innings, it can be game over for Rawat and co.

Rajneesh Dadar will be one to watch in the bowling attack. Digvesh Singh Rathi, the star bowler, hasn’t been wicketless in the last two matches and is another key wicket-taker alongside Dadar and Udav Mohan.

Given the nature of the pitch, no bowler could completely dominate the opposition consistently, and in this context, the PD6 bowlers can be considered to have done well.

Interesting Stats

Dadar has picked up 5 wickets in the last 3 outings, without going wicketless once

Dev Lakra has scored two 50+ knocks in his last 3 innings for Purani Dilli 6

After two failures in the middle order, Anuj Rawat finally came good in the last match with an unbeaten 52 off 25 balls at number 4

Purani Delhi 6 Predicted Playing XI:

Anuj Rawat (c) (wk), Dev Lakra, Aryan Gaur, Samarth Seth, Lalit Yadav, Rohan Rathi, Rajneesh Dadar, Udhav Mohan, Pankaj Jaswal, Digvesh Singh Rathi, Ajay Ahlawat

PITCH AND WEATHER CONDITIONS

Weather Conditions

It will be cloudy in Delhi with a high of 31 degrees Celsius around the match time. There are no signs of rain, and we expect a complete, uninterrupted Qualifier 2 between two of the most prolific teams in DPL 2026. The overcast conditions should help the seamers early on in the game by offering some movement through the air, while the humidity could bring in the dew factor, which makes it trickier for the spinners to grip the ball in the second innings.

CDK vs OD Pitch Report

A batting-friendly wicket at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi has been the batting paradise in the Delhi Premier League 2026. The average first innings score in the last 5 complete 20-over-per-side games played at this venue is 188 runs. The team batting first hasn’t crossed the 200-run mark in the last 4 consecutive games. The averages have fallen, and the team batting first seems to be struggling to post a big total. Nonetheless, they must aim for 200+ runs to be in a stronger and more competitive position in this match.
