The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has been a major topic of discussion in recent months. With the Indian team refusing to travel to host country Pakistan and a hybrid model of the tournament being accepted, there have been many developments ahead of the competition.

The marquee tournament is set to begin from February 19, 2025, and will feature eight teams split into groups of two. The games will be played across Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. Furthermore, the Indian team’s matches will be played outside of Pakistan.

The tentative schedule of the tournament has reportedly been revealed, and according to reports, India and Pakistan are in the same group. Furthermore, the tournament will kick off with Pakistan taking on New Zealand on February 19. India will kick off their campaign against Bangladesh the following day.

The much awaited India-Pakistan game will take place on February 23 as fans are gearing up for the game. With India playing their games outside of Pakistan, Dubai has been one of the frontrunners for the venue for the Men in Blue’s clashes.

The ICC had announced that all India-Pakistan matches in ICC events hosted by either country will be held at neutral venues through 2027. ''India and Pakistan matches hosted by either country at ICC Events during the 2024-2027 rights cycle will be played at a neutral venue, the ICC Board confirmed on Thursday, 19 December," the statement read.

"This will apply to the upcoming ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025 (hosted by Pakistan), set to be played in February and March 2025, as well as the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 (hosted by India) and the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 (hosted by India and Sri Lanka)'', the statement further added.
