Tulane Topples No. 43 Tulsa on Senior Day

– The Green Wave women's tennis team beat No. 43 Tulsa 4-2 Sunday afternoon at the indoor courts in the Hilton Riverside.Tulane faced off with Tulsa in a clinch/clinch match where only singles were played.(#2) secured the first point for the Green Wave in her third set. She was soon followed by(#1) who also gained a point in three sets to put the Wave up 2-0.The Golden Hurricane responded with victories on courts three and five to tie the match at 2-2. However, Tulane would mount an answer of its own as(#4) battled to put the Wave back on top with a three-set win. Freshman(#6) was quick to follow with the match clinching point in her second set.The Green Wave improved to 11-10 overall with the win, while the Golden Hurricane dropped to 15-7 on the year.Following the win, Tulane honored seniorsandfor their contributions to the program.Up next, the Wave will play in the American Athletic Conference Championship at Leftwich Tennis Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
