ICC Mens Player Rankings Update

Ahead of the Asian Games quarterfinals, the ICC released its latest T20I rankings, with several Indian batters making significant gains. Ishan Kishan retained the top spot, while captain Shreyas Iyer and wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson also improved their rankings.

Meanwhile, England’s white-ball captain Harry Brook and wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler secured places in the top five of the batters’ rankings. Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza became the No. 1 T20I all-rounder.

Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed climbed one place to claim the top spot in the bowlers’ rankings. Interestingly, England’s Jamie Overton jumped 47 places to enter the top 10, while India’s Varun Chakravarthy slipped to 18th position.

Ishan Kishan retains top spot; Iyer, Samson improves rankings

India’s No. 3 batter Ishan Kishan (904 points) retained the top spot in the men’s ICC T20I batters’ rankings, released on Wednesday. He is followed by Abhishek Sharma (893) in second place. Meanwhile, captain Shreyas Iyer gained seven places to climb to 22nd with 627 points.

Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson also moved up four places to 26th with 616 points, while Tilak Varma slipped to ninth. Former captain Suryakumar Yadav, meanwhile, climbed one place to 19th despite not playing a T20I for India since the 2026 T20 World Cup.

Sikandar Raza becomes No.1 all-rounder; Hardik Pandya in top 10

Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza claimed the No. 1 spot in the latest T20I all-rounder rankings with 321 points. Despite several changes in the rankings, India’s Hardik Pandya retained seventh place with 230 points.

Pakistan’s Saim Ayub, Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee and Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai also secured places in the top five. Meanwhile, India’s Shivam Dube slipped to 18th position with 170 points.

In the men's T20I bowlers' rankings, Pakistan's Abrar Ahmed secured the No.1 spot with 736 points. Interestingly, English pacer Jamie Overton jumped 47 spots to enter the top 10 at sixth.

India's Varun Chakaravarthy slipped to the seventh spot after Overton's big jump with 671 points. Despite losing the spot, he retained his top-10 place, with pacer Jasprit Bumrah at 10th.
