BookMyShow, the official ticketing partner for the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, has yet to release tickets for the much-anticipated final match. Prices for the tickets have started from Rs. 100 throughout the tournament, making them accessible to a wide audience. However, with the clock ticking down to the championship clash, fans remain in the dark about when they will be able to secure their seats.

Social media platforms have been flooded with complaints directed at both the Indian Cricket Board and the International Cricket Council (ICC), with fans questioning how such a major event could face logistical issues so close to the final.

This is not the first time cricket enthusiasts have encountered such confusion. A similar situation unfolded during the Men’s ODI World Cup in 2023, when tickets for several matches were released at the last minute, leaving fans scrambling to make arrangements.

As demand for the final's ticket is expected to be historic after India's incredible victory in the semi-final of the tournament. The Indian women's team chased down a record target of 339 runs against defending champions Australia to reach the summit clash of the tournament. India are going to play South Africa in the final of the competition, a clash that is expected to be a very close on.

South Africa had beaten India in the group-stage of the tournament, in a nervy clash in Vizag. But with the Indian team playing their best match in the semi-final, the momentum definitely seems to be with the co-hosts of the tournament.

Aanticipation builds for the Women’s World Cup final, the delay in ticket availability has once again raised concerns about event management and fan engagement in cricket, especially in major international tournaments.
