Rangers team news 'leaked' for Club Brugge clash as Nico Raskin bombed out

It's a huge night for the Light Blues in Belgium and Russell Martin could be about to make a bold call

The long-awaited availability of new signing Thelo Aasgaard is a huge boost for Rangers boss Russell Martin.

But it also gives the Ibrox gaffer a bit of a headache - albeit not a bad one to have - as he searches around to find his best XI.

The Liverpool-born Norway international started his first game in Sunday’s draw against St Mirren in Paisley.

However, Martin played the midfielder up front in an experiment it’s safe to say didn’t go to plan as two more Scottish Premiership points were spilled.

The move allowed the Rangers boss to play a midfielder trio of Joe Rothwell, Nico Raskin and Lyall Cameron.

But with Aasgaard hooked after 65 minutes, what will Martin go for in their decisive second leg Champions League play-off tie against Club Brugge?

Trailing 3-1 from a disastrous first leg at Ibrox, the Light Blues need a huge performance in Belgium to turn it around.

Back on home soil, Nico Raskin is one player who will no doubt be desperate to impress given his international ambitions in a huge World Cup year.

Yet if the rumours sweeping social media are to be believed then Raskin is set to be disappointed with a leaked XI having him on the bench in the Jan Breydel Stadium.

A line-up was leaked in the build up to Rangers’ home game against Viktoria Plzen in the last Champions League qualifying round and it proved to be spot on.

Martin responded to that, saying: “I've said to the guys, it's not ideal but I'm also not going to lose sleep over it. It has become more common in the modern game" that leaks happen.

“People are left out, they tell their agents, friends and family - then somehow it gets to the media quickly. I can't really control any of that.”

So, will this be the Rangers XI for the massive clash in Brugge?
