But Williams gifts Muchova a break-point chance with a backhand error and suddenly it feels like the match is down to this point: Williams serving at 1-5, 30-40. And Muchova converts it, taking a lunging stab at a short ball on the approach past the baseline. On the next point Muchova rips a two-handed backhand that Williams can’t handle for deuce. The Czech is two points from the finish line of this opening set.
