Mathys Tel is waiting to see if Arsenal or Manchester United act before deciding on his next move. The Bayern Munich star has struggled for opportunities in Germany and now a number of Premier League clubs are circling with the player's future likely lying away from the Bundesliga.Tel moved to the Allianz Arena from Rennes several years ago with his signing seen as a major coup for the German giants. However his minutes have been limited and the 19-year-old's priority is to gain regular football whenever he goes next.Tottenham and Chelsea are among the English clubs who have the firmest interest but United, Aston Villa and Arsenal are also open to making an approach in the coming days - and Tel wants to see how things move before making a decision, reports the Daily Mail. The Frenchman has only made 14 appearances this term and is yet to find the net with Bayern boss Vincent Kompany turning to other attacking players. The likes of Harry Kane, Kingsley Coman, Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane, Michael Olise and Serge Gnabry are all on the club's books and ahead of Tel in the pecking order.Tottenham technical director Johan Lange flew out of London on Wednesday afternoon to hold talks over an unspecified deal, but Tel's decision is likely to rest on how much football he can be guaranteed by the various clubs. His actions on Wednesday night were telling with the forward starting in their win over Slovan Bratislava, before he was subbed after 62 minutes. After the game he took a solo moment to wave to the fans and was pictured applauding them. He then took off his coat and handed it to a fan as well as shaking hands and taking selfies.Vincent Kompany has found it hard to give the Frenchman regularly opportunities but said on Wednesday: "It’s simply deserved. We have many attackers who can score goals and help the team. Mathys deserved to start and hopefully he shows what he can do. There were no other thoughts behind that. Everything else has nothing to do with my job."Bayern director Max Eberl has admitted: “Yes, Mathys Tel wants to go. Loan or permanent? We will assess all the options. I've rarely had so many clubs call me about a player before”.Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
