Eagles vs. Commanders, Vikings vs. Seahawks predictions: NFL Week 16 picks, odds

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS (+3.5) over Philadelphia Eagles

This NFC East contest is one of the biggest games Washington has hosted this decade, so we should expect a raucous crowd in Virginia.

Though the Eagles won, 26-18, the first matchup on “Thursday Night Football,” it was just a two-point game entering the final five minutes.

Expect Washington to learn from that game and find ways to get Terry McLaurin into space after stubbornly leaving him exposed to one side and targeting him just twice in the first matchup.

Add in A.J. Brown getting dinged up at the end of the Eagles’ Week 15 win over the Steelers, and we like Washington’s chances to keep this within a field goal.

Philadelphia carries an impressive 10-game winning streak into this matchup and this seems to be the only remaining spot for a possible slip-up before the playoffs.

Minnesota Vikings (-3) over SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Normally, we’d smash the Seahawks in this spot.

Getting three points at home with a solid team seems like a given. But the Seahawks gave us reason to pause after the home debacle against the Packers.

Geno Smith left the game early with an injury, and the defense did little to stop Green Bay.

Minnesota, meanwhile, somehow keeps finding ways to win.

Betting on the NFL?

The Vikings have a balanced attack, and Seattle doesn’t have anyone who can slow down Justin Jefferson.

We also particularly like Minnesota’s ferocious defense facing a horrendous Seattle offensive line that struggles to block.

With the injuries and the mismatch when the Seahawks have the ball, back the Vikings in the Pacific Northwest.
