Manchester United prospect Ethan Williams is making impressive progress on loan at Falkirk.Ethan Williams was one of Manchester United’s winners in preseason after he scored in a 4-1 win over Bournemouth.It was a great way for the teenager to announce himself and make a statement to Ruben Amorim that he was able to contribute.However, with no European football this season, his game time was always going to be limited and it was decided that a loan move was in Williams’ best interests.Williams signed on loan with Scottish Premiership side Falkirk, who rank in fifth place, level on points with Rangers.Williams scores first goalEthan Williams had already made a positive start to life on loan at Falkirk, providing two assists in a game against Hibernian in late September. It was a perfectly executed and confident way to score his first ever professional goal.The 19-year-old’s assist might have been ever better.Falkirk’s match report noted: “Brian Graham’s flick on found the feet of Williams who would then find Calvin Miller with a wonderful defence splitting pass.”‘Frightening’ abilitySpeaking post-game, Falkirk’s manager John McGlynn praised the ability of the three attackers who played behind the striker, with Ethan Williams starting on the left wing.McGlynn told the Falkirk Herald: “These three guys in behind Ross MacIver, the ability and pace is frightening.”He added: “It’s as good a 45 minutes that I’ve witnessed from one of my teams in a hell of a long time.”Williams will be fully focused on Falkirk right now, but he will also be getting ongoing support and contact from Manchester United.United will be hugely encouraged with his performances, and he will return for pre-season in 2026 even stronger, ready to show what he can do.
