Scotland put their 34-run defeat to Bangladesh behind and returned to winning ways, trumping Netherlands by 24 runs via DLS in a truncated affair on Wednesday. Skipper Kathryn Bryce was the star with a stellar all-round performance, top-scoring with 63 before picking up a wicket to spearhead Scotland's charge at the Grange Cricket Club in Edinburgh.Netherlands opted to field first after rain delayed the start of play, reducing the contest to a 12-over-per-side fixture. Katherine Fraser began well, scoring a six in the first over but Heather Siegers dismissed Darcey Carter in the very next over. Kathryn Bryce wasted no time to get herself in, peeling a couple of boundaries off Silver Siegers before Fraser repeated the same against Isabel van der Woning. That was followed by two more boundaries, this time by Bryce, as Scotland got past 50 at the start of the sixth over.Caroline de Lange cleaned up Fraser for 29, but there was no stopping Bryce who peppered the fence at will to raise a fifty off 28 deliveries. Kathryn's sister Sarah (23* off 12) gave her good company as the duo picked up 17 runs off Heather in the 10th over to power Scotland to 110 by the end of it. Kathryn's dismissal to Iris Zwelling ended the Bryce sisters' partnership at 58. It was followed by a dry 10-ball phase where Scotland failed to muster a boundary, even as they finished with an imposing 124 on the board. The skipper wasn't to be left behind with the ball either, bowling Phebe Molkenboer in the second over for just three runs. Heather Siggers struck three fours but fell for 15, with Kathryn playing her part in the dismissal again with a catch. Netherlands' captain Babette de Leede struck two sixes off Olivia Bell, while Sterre Kalis found the boundary on a couple of occasions in the sixth over after a relatively sedate start. At 59/2 in six overs, the heavens opened up again, revising Netherlands' target to 105 in 10 overs. Chloe Abel's four-run over upon resumption saw her dismiss de Leede for 14, putting Scotland firmly in command. Kalis' dismissal in the eighth over then shut the door on the Dutch, who eventually needed 30 to win off the final over. They could muster only five runs with Robine Rijke run out off the penultimate ball as Scotland completed a facile win.
