Virat Kohli reaches rare T20 landmark, joins David Warner at the top

Virat Kohli reached a significant milestone in T20 cricket, becoming the second batter and the first Indian to score 100 half-centuries during the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday.

The former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain achieved the feat in his 405th T20 appearance, highlighting his remarkable consistency in the shortest format.

Kohli now sits behind Australian opener David Warner, who leads the list with 108 half-centuries in 400 T20 matches. Kohli's 100 half-centuries come in 405 appearances.

Kohli’s latest half-century against Rajasthan was his 58th in the IPL, tying him with Warner for the most 50+ scores in the tournament’s history.

Warner, who has scored four centuries and 62 fifties in 184 IPL matches, trails Kohli, who has 66 fifties and eight centuries in 258 IPL matches.
