Fans to show Mitoma support as Ferdi reveals his sadness over winger

Ferdi Kadioglu says it has been tough to talk to Kaoru Mitoma after his injury heartbreak.

Now Albion fans are poised to show their own backing for the star winger as their club face Manchester United.

Mitoma misses both the Euro decider with his club and then the World Cup with Japan due to a hamstring injury suffered in the last home game, against Wolves.

There will be applause and cheers for Mitoma on minute 22, which is his shirt number, in the United game.

Mitoma was in sparkling form before pulling up, holding the back of his left thigh, in the win over Wolves.

He had formed an exciting left-sided pairing with Kadioglu, who was this week crowned as the fans’ player of the season.

Kadioglu told The Argus: “I'm really sad for him because he is such a nice guy, such a good football player.

“I think he struggled already with injuries and now the upcoming World Cup and it’s also sad for Japan because they have a really good team and now without Mitoma, it's going to be a bit more difficult.

“I spoke with him very short, but I also think that he doesn't want to speak too much with people because it's a really sad period for him.

“Hopefully he will come back stronger and I believe he can do that.”
