Soccer Star, Robin Van Persie, Joins E-Bike Powerhouse Engwe As the New Face of the Brand

Most of us know Engwe as one of the world’s most powerful budget e-bike brands, granting us access to rides that offer dependability, range, and power at a price that very few others do. These are but a few reasons for their success. Another is the brand ambassadors they choose to work with.

The latest name to join the Engwe ambassadors list is none other than former Arsenal and Man-U striker, Robin van Persie. Mind you, he was also coaching until June 2026 at Feyenoord. While I'm not the biggest soccer guy out there, “footballers,” as they’re often called, who this man very well.

The press release from Engwe unveils that “Robin Van Persie built a career at the highest level of European football. His achievements include a Premier League title, two Premier League Golden Boots and his iconic diving header against Spain at the 2014 FIFA World Cup,” and after retiring from play, he still coached, so passion for the game runs deep for this gentleman.

Engwe further adds, “Robin van Persie represents many of the qualities we want ENGWE to stand for: performance, discipline, reliability and a genuine passion for an active lifestyle. But beyond his achievements on the pitch, we see Robin as someone who has continued to evolve — as a professional, a father and a person who values an active and healthy way of life.”

The collaboration with the “football” star will run all the way to December 31st, 2027, marking a bit over a year where we’ll see Mr. Persie at trade shows, in commercials, ads, and all the time, in the presence of an Engwe product or logo.

The press release also mentions that this collaboration will be active mostly in countries all over Europe, which makes sense, but also in the US. UK lovers of the game are sure to have their attention sparked. Sure, the US market has always. Been one where Engwe has been active, especially if we consider they have headquarters in California, and this ‘handshake’ signifies a drive to dominate the European market as well, as if they don’t already do that.

Currently, I'm stationed in Europe, and the moment I step out of my house, in the next 10-15 minutes, I locked eyes with an Engwe. Now, there’s going to be more of them.
