Shubman Gill set to break multiple records. (BCCI Photo)After already scoring 585 runs in the first two Tests against England, Shubman Gill has broken several records. Of those, 430 came in the Edgbaston Test, which India won to level the five-match series. It was also India's first win at the venue. With 269 runs in the first innings and 161 in the second, Gill was rightfully awarded the Player of the Match. He broke Virat Kohli's record for the most runs by an Indian captain in a single innings, Sunil Gavaskar's record for the most runs by an Indian in a single Test match, became the first Asian skipper to hit a double ton in SENA countries, and also the first to score a double century along with a 150 in the same match. With three more Tests remaining, Gill could rewrite more records in the history books for good. If he continues his rich form in the remaining games, he could break four world records held by the legendary Don Bradman—records that have stood for nearly 100 years.Story continues below Advertisement Remove AdAlso Read - India vs England at Lord’s: A look at records, milestones, and historic clashesMost runs in a Test series as skipperBradman currently stands on top with 810 runs as captain he scored in the 1936-37 Ashes. I don't know whether he will do it, but I am sure that he has an opportunity.
