A MUM has accused Yung Filly of breaking her terminally ill son's heart after he failed to keep a promise he made to the youngster.

The YouTuber told Mason Greaves, 12, he was there to "support him" and challenged him to a game of Fortnite in a video.

But mum Kelly Greaves claims the rapper - who has been charged with rape in Australia - instead ghosted her poorly son and even at one point told him to "shut up".

Kelly, 47, told The Sun: "He's literally broke my son's heart."

Mason, from Hemel Hempstead, Herts, was born with one working kidney that has deteriorated over the years.

Spending his childhood in and out of Great Ormond Street Hospital and clocking up around 25 operations on the way, Kelly said he has been "on the brink of death" more than once.

She added: "He's just suffered a lot over the years. But Mason is brilliant. He's just full of beans, he's great."

In January, Kelly was told Mason had end-stage kidney disease.

The desperate mum-of-two has been trying to find a donor since and has had companies such as Harrods and Lamborghini offer their support.

A representative from JD Sports then got in touch with Kelly and asked to send out some clothes for the youngster.

Weeks later, they revealed they had organised a surprise for Fortnite-loving Mason and asked Kelly to film his reaction.

To Mason's delight, Yung Filly - real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos - had recorded a special message for him.

Barrientos, 29, said: "Mason - I know this is probably a little surprise for you.

"But I just wanted to say I hope you're well, also thank you for watching my videos.

"I wish you a speedy recovery my guy. Tough times never last. God willing you're gonna be okay sooner rather than later.

"I just wanted to give you my support and tell you that I love you and I'm here for you - and I hope all is well my guy.

"Unfortunate what is happening with you, but as I say my brother try to stay positive as best you can.

"And when you're up for it, let me know, and I'll whoop your arse at Fortnite."

Heartwarming footage shows a thrilled Mason leap to his feet and jump around with excitement.

What has Yung Filly been charged with? YUNG Filly was arrested in Brisbane, Australia, on October 8 accused of rape. Police allege the influencer, real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, sexually assaulted a woman in his hotel room in Perth on September 28, hours after he performed at Bar1 Nightclub. Barrientos last put on a show at Havana Nightclub on the Gold Coast two days before his arrest last week. He was extradited from Brisbane to Perth, and footage showed him being escorted through an airport in handcuffs. On October 10, he appeared in court where he was bailed for $100,000AUD (£51,000). A judge banned him from leaving the state and ordered him to report to Perth Police Station every day. Police say they have an "extremely strong" case that includes CCTV footage of the social media star on the night of the alleged offences. His defence lawyer argued the victim was drunk at the time of the alleged ordeal on September 28. Barrientos will remain Australia until December when his second hearing gets underway. He was swiftly dropped by several brands and companies including FootAsylum, the Football Association (FA), Heinz and ASOS, following his arrest.

But things took a turn when Mason - who has followed the influencer for years - tried to reach out to him.

Kelly said when Mason attempted to respond to Barrientos on social media, he was cruelly ignored or shut down by one of his people.

She added: "It came up one day that Filly was live on TikTok, and Mason then said hello to him via the chat at the bottom. But he was ignoring people and speaking to people through Twitch.

"Mason went and got a Twitch account, and he started trying to talk to Filly and said 'hi it's Mason you sent me this video'.

"And all he got was abuse from his mods [people monitoring comments].

"It's like Filly has this ring around him. One of them was so rude to Mason and was telling him to go away. So I then took the device off Mason.

"Then a couple of days later Filly was back on Twitch playing games with people so Mason went again and said something like 'hi it's Mason do you remember me, my kidney appeal'.

"And Filly said 'Mason just shut up'. I was with Mason and I just thought how dare he."

Kelly said it has left little Mason distraught and questioning why Barrientos would make empty promises.

She added: "I feel Filly jumped on a bandwagon and then literally broke my son's heart.

"I feel so bad for Mason and I can't believe he's done this to him. He was aware of Mason and what's going on with him.

"It just seems like it was for show. It's left a really sour taste in my mouth, he's just really not that person he makes out to be."

Kelly said she is still battling to find a donor for Mason before they are forced to turn to dialysis.

She has sent up a TikTok and Facebook page with the hope of spreading the word - something she hoped Barrientos would have helped with.

Kelly added: "The hope would have been considering he said he was there for him he could have just helped get the word out a little bit, especially as we are so desperate for a donor."

The Sun has contacted Barrientos' representatives for comment.
