Kai Havertz has been pictured wearing a knee brace, as he continues his recovery from a season-ending hamstring injury.Arsenal were robbed of their primary remaining forward option as they participated in a training camp in Dubai. Days following Mikel Arteta's proclamation that Havertz may have to play all of the Gunners' remaining fixtures he pulled up injured during a training session. The former Chelsea star joined the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus on the sidelines to leave Arteta short of options in his forward line. The north London side have struggled to pose a threat since with Mikel Merino being tested up front. While there is not expected to be any chance of seeing Havertz on the training pitch any time soon, the 25-year-old posed for a snap with barber of the stars, Senyo. The barbershop owner has delivered fresh trims for the likes of Enzo Fernandez, Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic in addition to Havertz.Senyo uploaded a picture of the pair sitting on some stairs, with Havertz still wearing a knee brace and making use of crutches. The photograph was accompanied by the caption: "Road to recovery."It is seemingly the first public showing of the Arsenal star's condition since his own upload after undergoing surgery last month. Havertz expressed his disappointment with the severity of his injury, at that time.He wrote on Instagram : "The last few days have been tough to process both physically and mentally. But yesterday was a good day. A successful op and a win. Thanks for all the messages of support over the last few days, it’s really helped. I’m now focused on my journey to full fitness and giving all the support I can give to the team in the background."Following the incident, Arteta revealed that his star suffered the unfortunate injury attempting to block a shot. "He was going to stop a shot after a set-piece and stretched the leg and he felt his hamstring," Arteta said.Image: @kaihavertz29) @kaihavertz29)"We were having a great camp in Dubai, recharging, training, having some time off and connecting again with nature and a different environment. And then the injury happened in a very unexpected way, certainly. So it's a big blow, obviously, because of the injuries that we have."The Spanish head coach lamented the influence of the football calendar on his injury ravaged side. "We've had players who are injured who've played 130 games in the last two seasons so it's an accident waiting to happen when you continue to load, load and load," said Arteta."The intensity is at a different level and the demands in terms of minutes in this competitive environment is getting higher and higher and it's a consequence of that."The amount of muscle and tendon injuries is higher than ever so there's a relationship. We're very limited and we're training less than ever. There's no time for training."Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
