NEW DELHI: It was all smiles and good vibes in the Punjab Kings camp after their stunning 16-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders in Mullanpur, and at the heart of it all was a delightful moment between star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and team co-owner Preity Zinta In a post-match chat on YouTube, Zinta couldn't hide her excitement. “I just wanted to say I’m so, so happy,” she told Chahal. “In the past, we used to lose matches that were already won. But today, we won a match that looked lost!”Without missing a beat, Chahal grinned and quipped, “Woh past tha!,” prompting a hearty laugh from Preity, who replied, “Exactly! So I’m really happy about that.”And she had every reason to be.Chahal was in vintage form, tearing through the KKR lineup with a spell of 4/28.It was his eighth four-wicket haul in the IPL , equalling Sunil Narine’s all-time record. His victims? A dangerous quartet: Ajinkya Rahane, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Rinku Singh, and Ramandeep Singh. It was a collapse that turned the game on its head. Not only did the performance help PBKS defend a modest 111, but it also pushed Chahal to 370 T20 wickets, overtaking Mohammed Nabi and Mohammed Amir to become the 11th-highest wicket-taker in the format. He now also holds the record for the most four-fors (3) against a single IPL team, KKR.Earlier, a fiery start by openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh gave PBKS momentum, but KKR’s bowlers, led by Harshit Rana, Narine, and Chakravarthy, pulled things back, skittling them out for 111.But Punjab's bowlers, led by Chahal and Marco Jansen (3/17), flipped the script.
