Former Everton and Super League executive Robert Elstone has taken up an advisory role with National League South side Truro City.Elstone will provide advice and support to the club's leadership as Truro aim to bounce back after being relegated from the National League last season.He joined Everton as chief operating officer in 2005 before going on to become the Premier League side's chief executive in 2009.He moved to Super League, England's rugby league governing body, in 2018 as its executive chairman, staying in the role until 2021 when he joined PwC as an advisor.Elstone also advised Stockport County during their time in the National League before the club returned to the English Football League."Having met the club's senior management, I could not help but be impressed with the clarity of vision and determination for both the club and football charity to succeed," Elstone told the club website, external."I have been fortunate to have worked at the highest level in English football but find the uniqueness of this Cornish club compelling, and I see huge potential for success."Working at all levels of the club, I hope to help them in achieving their ambitions."
