‘It sounds like Harry Brook is the first player to do…Every player would like more money’: Michael Clarke supports BCCI’s stance

English cricketer, Harry Brook has been banned for two years from the Indian Premier League after pulling off from the upcoming season after being brought by the Delhi Capitals for 6.25 crores at the auction. Brook has cited time to prepare for his national commitments and to take a break from cricket as reasons to pull off from the IPL.

After Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid now former Australian skipper Michael Clarke would back BCCI’s decision to ban Brook from the tournament for the next couple of years. “It sounds like Harry Brook is the first player to do that but I understand why the IPL would do that. Every player would like more money but once you go into that auction and you’re bought you’ve got to respect that and understand that you can’t just pull out because you haven’t been paid the amount that you want,” Clarke said speaking on Beyond23 Cricket Podcast.
