English football giants Arsenal and Manchester City will be eyeing their first piece of silverware this season when they meet in the Carabao Cup 2025-26 final at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday.

The English Football League Cup or EFL Cup, also known as the Carabao Cup for sponsorship reasons, is an annual knockout competition in English men’s domestic football that has been held since 1960.

The Arsenal vs Manchester City EFL Cup 2025-26 final will start at 10:00 PM IST. The ARS vs MCI match will be available to watch on live streaming in India.

The Gunners are nine points clear of City in the EPL standings and have already made the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup. A win on Sunday will see them chase an unprecedented quadruple this season.

Manchester City, on the other hand, have already crashed out of the UCL and have a mountain to climb to catch up to Arsenal in the EPL standings. Pep Guardiola’s side, however, is still alive in the FA Cup.

However, the Cityzens enter Sunday’s summit clash with memories of winning each of their last four EFL Cup finals from 2018 to 2021.

Manchester City are the second-most successful side in EFL Cup history, boasting eight titles - just two shy of Liverpool’s record tally.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have won the Carabao Cup twice in the past, with their most recent success coming in 1993.

In terms of team news, Manchester City defenders Marc Guéhi (cup-tied) and Joško Gvardiol (injury) will miss the game, while Mikel Merino (injury) also looks set to be unavailable for the final.

Arsenal’s Eberechi Eze, Martin Ødegaard and Jurrien Timber are also injury doubts.

As far as the head-to-head between the teams go, Arsenal lead the way with 97 wins, compared to Manchester City’s 58 victories. There have also been 48 draws in this fixture.
