'Not happy' - QPR boss issues Derby County verdict amid 'angry' demand

Marti Cifuentes says Derby County have been "very strong" this season and expects Paul Warne's side to pose a stiff examination at Pride Park.

The Hoops have had a difficult start to the season which has left them in the bottom three ahead of their trip to Pride Park tomorrow. But they can move above the Rams with a victory as they look to bounce back from a defeat at home to Hull City in midweek.

Warne's Derby are also looking to arrest a run of three straight defeats as they look to return to winning ways at Pride Park after losing to Norwich.

Cifuentes is expecting a response from Derby and the Hoops boss said: "After a defeat, what we want to do is play the next game. This one comes in a moment where we want to get a positive result, but it is exactly the same for them.

“This is a difficult game. They have been very strong, firstly last season when they went up and they have been strong this season already – at home they have only lost to Norwich, who are doing really well. We know they are a team who is very good at counter, direct, physical. We need to be aware of what type of game we are going to face.”

QPR's start to the season has caused some friction among the fans and Cifuentes added: "I have said many times, we need to be angry when we lose games, it is fair.

“I can tell you something, there is no-one – not even the most engaged QPR fan – that wants to win more than I do.

“They can be calm that I am trying to do my best to make sure the players understand there are certain situations where we can play and there are certain situations where we need to make a good clearance, and sometimes put it behind the Stan Bowles Stand!

“That is part of football as well. I understand the fans are not happy, the same as I am not, but I am going to ask them to give their final decision at the end of the season.”
