Novak Djokovic vs Jannik Sinner, Australian Open 2026 semi-finals: Head-to-head, match schedule and how to watch live

Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner will meet for the 11th time in their professional careers when they face off in the semi-final of the 2026 Australian Open on Friday (30 January).

Fourth seed Djokovic is looking to close in on a record-breaking 25th tennis Grand Slam title, while simultaneously winning a record-extending 11th AO title.

His route to the final four has been anything but conventional; he received a walkover in the fourth round and advanced to the semi-finals after an injured Lorenzo Musetti retired in the quarter-final while leading the Serbian by two sets.

Sinner, who is the men’s singles second seed, has had a far more routine journey to the semis. The Italian has beaten all but one of his opponents in straight sets, while his round one opponent, Hugo Gaston, retired from the match.

Sinner is aiming to become just the second player in the men’s singles Open Era to ‘three-peat’ at the Australian Open, with upcoming opponent Djokovic the only other man to have done so.

With a place in the final on the line, here is what you need to know ahead of Sinner vs Djokovic.
