Legal Update: Prithvi Shaw’s ‘Social Media Influencer Molestation’ Case

Young India batter, Prithvi Shaw, is in trouble once Gaian. Dindoshi Sessions court in Mumbai has summoned Shaw for the second time in regards to a plea filed by Sapna Gill. The earlier summon was on April 30, but neither Shaw nor his legal representative attended that. So, the court has now summoned him yet again.

Ali Kaashif Khan, Gill’s lawyer, reapplied for permission to serve a summons to Shaw’s new location, using the cricketer’s recent high-profile change of location as justification, because no one had been up on Monday to represent Shaw.

Following an incident with Sapna Gill, Prithvi Shaw gets caught in legal conflict. Gill, who had already been detained for a selfie argument with Shaw, complained of molestation against him. She brought the issue up to the Magistrate’s Court as the Andheri airport police failed to file her complaint. She contested the court’s ruling before the Dindoshi Sessions Court when it mandated a police probe. The court asked the investigators to submit their response to Gill’s appeal at a recent hearing. Gill’s legal team maintains that the police have consistently delayed their answer.

Shaw is going through a very tough time. Despite his prolific start in his career, he has not been consistent with his performances and has found himself out of the national team. Shaw’s technical issues have prevented him from consistent performances and shining in the national colours. Moreover, he is not taking care of his fitness and he has become fatty. Everyone felt that he was going to be the next gem in Indian cricket given the talent that he displayed. However, Shaw has not still not stood up and replicated his talent in national colours.
