Green Wave Outlasts La Tech to Win 4-3 on Sunday

– The Tulane women's tennis team won a thriller over in-state foe Louisiana Tech by the score of 4-3 Sunday afternoon at the City Park Tennis Facility.The Green Wave improved to 10-9 overall, while La Tech drops to 12-8 on the season. The Olive and Blue dropped the doubles point before clinching the match in singles play.Tulane secured singles wins at Nos. 1 (Chandler), 3 (Van Zyl), 5 (Fantini) and 6 (Theis) to dominate the day. Van Zyl's 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 victory on court 3 clinched the match at 4-3 in front of a large crowd at City Park.The Green Wave is back in action again two more times this week at home; Friday when it plays #27 Florida Atlantic at 2:00pm and Sunday versus #45 Tulsa at 12pm for senior day.
