United ‘enquire’ about Fernandes

United are reportedly showing an interest in signing West Ham star Mateus Fernandes. According to TEAMtalk, United are leading the race to sign the 21-year-old, who has also been linked with the likes of Champions League finalists Arsenal and PSG.

The report claims that United have recently enquired about Fernandes with a view to potentially making a move when the summer transfer window opens.

Fernandes, who joined West Ham last summer from Southampton, is also reportedly open to joining United, with the Hammers in danger of being relegated to the Championship this weekend.

West Ham paid £40million to sign Fernandes last summer and it remains to be seen what the asking price would be for United to bring the playmaker to Old Trafford ahead of next season.

United ‘interested’ in Bundesliga forward

United have reportedly joined the race to sign Hoffenheim star Bazoumana Toure this summer. Sky Germany reporter Patrick Berger has stated that United have expressed an interest, but are not the only Premier League club in the running.

Liverpool, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Brighton have also been mentioned as expressing an interest in signing the 20-year-old, who appears likely to leave the Bundesliga club this summer.

It has been reported that Hoffenheim value Toure at up to €50million (£43million), but it remains unclear at this point if United will advance in their interest in the forward.

Toure has enjoyed an impressive season at Hoffenheim, scoring five goals and providing 12 assists across 30 appearances in the Bundesliga this term.
