College football Week 1 scores, live updates: Boise State vs. Oregon, Baylor vs. Auburn and more

We've had Week 1 appetizers on Thursday and Friday night. Now it's time to get into the meat of opening weekend with a full day of action on Saturday.

The day kicked off early as Big Ten powerhouses Ohio State and Indiana enforced their will in blowouts over lesser competition. OSU's Jeremiah Smith put on a show in just a half, catching 8 passes for 151 yards and 2 TDs. Alabama also shined with new starting QB Keelon Russell in a rout.

Things pick up a bit more in the afternoon window as Georgia, Tennessee and Texas all begin their seasons. But the spotlight will be on Eugene, Oregon, as the No. 2 Ducks play host to Boise State. The Broncos are the Group of Six playoff pick for many of the sport's pundits.

Then Death Valley (LSU version) will take center stage as Lane Kiffin and Co. take on Clemson in the evening's marquee matchup. Will Kiffin's LSU tenure get off to a good start, or will Dabo Swinney's Tigers ruin his debut?
