In recent years, derbies have been played in front of reduced away crowds due to safety fears. Following a stand-off between both clubs, that was increased to around 2,000 for recent games but that is still nowhere near the old allocation of around 7,000 supporters. However, under Scottish Cup rules travelling clubs are allowed up to 20 percent of the stadium’s capacity, which equates to around 10,000 seats at Ibrox. It has been suggested Celtic will request the full amount but it remains to be seen if this will be granted.Police Scotland have confirmed they won't have a say in the matter.A spokesperson said: "Ticket allocation is a matter for the clubs and football authorities."A proportionate policing plan will be in place to maintain public safety and minimise disruption ahead of the fixture at Ibrox in March 2026.”
