Premier League supercomputer predicts new final table after humiliating Man Utd loss

Manchester United are predicted to have a difficult season as the Premier League title is projected to be decided by just a single point as Arsenal and Manchester City battle once again

A supercomputer has predicted that Manchester United will finish the Premier League season in 11th.

The Red Devils have endured a frustrating start to the season to win just two of their opening six matches. A dismal defeat to Tottenham on Sunday sees the club currently sitting in 12th position having managed to score in just half of their games.

The Premier League Supercomputer, conducted by Casino Hawks, utilised 10,000 simulations to form its projection. Incredibly, it is also predicting the top-flight will be decided by just one point in an even tighter title race than last term.

Manchester City and Arsenal will be the two teams battling it out once again, with Pep Guardiola's side winning a record fifth title in succession. City are projected to earn 93 points in a 2024/25 season where they will suffer just one defeat, despite recording consecutive draws against Arsenal and Newcastle.

The Gunners are set to fall short once again with two defeats proving enough to cost them the title. Mikel Arteta's side would break their record points total in the division, beating the 90 points amassed by the Invincibles.

Liverpool are projected to earn third place in Arne Slot's first season in charge. The Reds currently lead the Premier League after six games by a single point but have yet to face any side predicted to finish in the top eight.

Chelsea round off the top four in Enzo Maresca's first season, beating Newcastle United to the position by two points. The Magpies are followed by Tottenham and Aston Villa to earn European qualification.

The supercomputer believes the three teams promoted from the Championship will all return to the division, with Wolves suriving by just three points. The Midlands side are currently in bottom place and winless but narrowly secure safety on their way to seven points.

Southampton are set to be cut adrift in last place as they earn just 15 points and three wins after returning. The Saints finish 14 points from safety with Leicester managing to rack up 21 points under Steve Cooper and Ipswich Town totalling 26 points.
