Coco Gauff vs Alexandra Eala prediction

Coco Gauff was far from her best but still advanced to the third-round of Indian Wells after a straight sets win over Kamilla Rakhimova. Gauff took the first set relatively comfortably but familiar problems with her serve saw Rakhimova race into a 5-2 lead in the second. However, the world number four would break back on two occasions and once more when her opponent served yet again for the set at 6-5 up. Gauff edged a tight tiebreak to win 6-3 7-6 (5).

She plays Alexandra Eala next. The Filipino got past Dayana Yastremska in three sets. Eala looked down and out as Yastremska served for the match at 5-4 in the decider, but she then reeled off three games in a row to seal a 7-5 4-6 7-5 win after two hours and 43 minutes.

They played each other just a few weeks ago in Dubai, with Gauff thrashing Eala 6-0 6-2 in the quarter-finals. Gauff has the more developed game and it's difficult to see Eala pulling off an upset and exacting revenge here.
