Auqib Nabi among six players called up as net bowlers for Afghanistan Test

Auqib Nabi, who missed out selection for the Afghanistan Test, is one among six bowlers who have joined the Indian squad as net bowlers to assist the team in the build up to the fixture, from June 6 in Mullanpur.

Besides Nabi, two other quicks in this list are the young and impressive Prince Yadav and Tamil Nadu's Gurjapneet Singh. Prince, who has quickly made a name in the IPL circuit, is also part of the India squad for the ODIs that follow this one-off Test.

Among the spin picks, off-spinner Saransh Jain packs in some experience. At the first-class level, he has 181 wickets in 52 matches for Madhya Pradesh. His MP teammate, who is yet to make his red-ball debut in domestic cricket, brings left-arm wrist spin to the India nets while UP's Zeeshan Ansari covers movement the other way with leg break. Both Shivang and Ansari have the wrong 'un in their bowling arsenal.
