LAHORE: Bangladesh defeated Pakistan ‘A’ by a massive 167-run margin in a warm-up match for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025 here at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Batting first, Bangladesh posted a competitive total of 276 in 49.4 overs. Captain Nigar Sultana Joty led the charge with a solid 70, while Farzana Haque added a crucial 50 before retiring out. Lower-order batter Jannatul Ferdus made an unbeaten 46, ensuring Bangladesh reached an imposing target. For Pakistan, Umm-e-Hani and Waheeda Akhtar stood out with the ball, claiming three wickets each, while Tania Saeed chipped in with two.

In reply, Pakistan ‘A’ struggled against Bangladesh’s disciplined bowling attack, collapsing to 109 all out in 39.1 overs. Dua Majid (32) and Umm-e-Hani (26) were the only players to offer resistance. Bangladesh’s Rabeya, Marufa Akter, and Fatima Khatun each picked up two wickets, contributing to their team’s dominant victory.
