Awful news came out of England's celebration on Sunday night after the World Cup win over Mexico in the Round of 16: Jordan Henderson, the 36-year-old midfielder who has played in four World Cups for England, suffered a wrist injury.

How did he do it? As you'll see in the video below, as he vaulted over one of the boards at Estadio Azteca, he slipped and landed hard on his wrist. He was stretchered off and taken to a hospital.

Per The Athletic: "The Football Association have confirmed Henderson will stay back in Mexico City with a member of the team’s medical staff and not travel with the rest of the squad back to their Kansas City training base."

Will Jordan Henderson be able to play for England vs. Norway this week?

No official word yet on that, but if it's a really bad wrist injury, probably not. He played just once for England in this World Cup against Panama.
