Tennis LIVE: BBC pull coverage after Queen's suspended minutes into tournament

Finally some play in Queen's! We are going again and have already completed more games than our first run earlier this afternoon.

Qinwen Zheng is first up on the main court against Jaqueline Cristian, with Katie Boulter to follow against Leylah Fernandez.

Players are expected to walk out in just two minutes and there is even some sun shining on Queen's now!

Qinwen Zheng will resume her match on Andy Murray Arena against Jaqueline Cristian.

British wildcard Harriet Dart is in action on Court 5 against Liudmila Samsonova.

Play has been delayed for a further 30 minutes, to 5.30pm, but the covers are being taken off the courts in order to get ready for competition once again.

The rain has finally stopped in west London and we could finally get back underway soon.

Iva Jovic's doubles match has been removed from today's schedule at Queen's.

The world No. 19 was due to play with McCartney Kessler on Court 5.

Kessler was scheduled to play twice today, one of which got underway for no more than 10 minutes, a singles tie with Karolina Puskova.

It's unlikely Kessler would have had enough recovery time between matches today due to the delays.

Queen's have just announced that there will be no play until at least 5pm today due to the weather.

And just as that was read out on the tannoy, a collective groan could be heard across the Andy Murray Arena.

The BBC began their broadcast of Queen's only when play was certain to get underway.

But they announced that until play could get going again, the Beeb would pull live coverage and instead show a re-run of Venus Williams against Serena Williams at Wimbledon in the 2008 final.

Play was due to get underway at 12.45pm today, but was forcibly delayed due to rain hitting the venue.

We do not yet have a scheduled time for a restart.

The three first-round ties at Queen's were brought to a halt soon after they got underway.

Qinwen Zheng played just eight points before her clash with Jaquelin Cristian was suspended at 1-0.

Karolina Pliskova and McCartney Kessler played the exact amount of points before being informed by the umpire that rain was ending play.

British star Harriet Dart only managed one point before being forced back inside.
