Amazon Prime have gained approval from Manchester United fans after an apparent subtle dig at Liverpool's Premier League win.

United's record of 20 English top-flight title wins was equalled on Sunday after their fierce rivals won 5-1 at home to Tottenham Hotspur. Arne Slot's side have enjoyed a dominant campaign, which has seen them carve out an unassailable 15-point lead over second-placed Arsenal in the table.

United can still, however, boast of having won the most Premier League titles. Since its inception in 1992, the Reds have clinched 13 compared to Liverpool's two.

And Prime Video's official sport account on X (formerly known as Twitter) has referenced this fact. "Liverpool lift the Premier League trophy for the second time!" they said alongside a graphic of all the titles won.

The post has received plenty of responses from both United and Liverpool fans. One replied, "That’s why I have Amazon Prime."

Another wrote, "Admin is a professional Liverpool hater. I love this." A disgruntled Liverpool supporter replied, "Get in the bin." Another sarcastically wrote, "Yes, because Football began in 1992."

Liverpool's win has come during Slot's first campaign on Merseyside since replacing Jurgen Klopp last summer. The former Feyenoord boss has enjoyed a remarkable debut season at Anfield which has seen his team lose just two league games.

"I'm incredibly proud, not just of the players but of the staff and sporting directors," he said post-match on Sunday. "To win it here, in front of these fans, makes it so special.

"Five years ago, they won the league without supporters in the stands. You could feel how much this meant to them today."
